Livestock Pool

Livestock Pool

Livestock producers participate through a member-elected committee that guides pricing, policy, and production planning.

What is the Livestock Pool?

The Livestock Pool brings together cattle, poultry, goat, sheep, and hog producers under a cooperative structure that prioritizes fair compensation and collective bargaining power.

Unlike traditional commodity markets where individual producers have little leverage, the Livestock Pool aggregates supply and negotiates collectively. A member-elected committee of ranchers guides all major decisions, ensuring the program reflects the real needs and values of livestock producers.

We also address one of the biggest challenges facing small ranchers: access to USDA-inspected processing. Through processor partnerships and coordinated scheduling, members gain access to processing capacity that would otherwise be out of reach.
